ORDERING HEALTHY ICE- BLENDED DRINKS at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf





Recently, we were looking for the healthier ice blended beverages available at various coffee shops. And we found this lovely exotic place, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf located at Central, Haji Ali, Mumbai, where we found some good exciting ice blends which are healthier and delicious too.

Some of the recipes of its delicacies like ‘Ultimate Mocha Ice-Blend’; ‘Vanilla Ice Blend’ and ‘Non- Coffee Ice Blend’ were shared by us. These are a good change from your regular cup of hot coffee and ideal for summers.

Though these blends cannot be prepared at the home itself, but you can always order for the healthier options.

How to order for these Coffee and Non- coffee Ice- blends

Coffee Ice- Blends

Ultimate Mocha Ice-Blend (360 ml)


(This is the exact formulation of what goes into the mix and you get a rough idea of what you are drinking and how to order, e.g., ask for no sugar added, skim milk. Note that mocha powder will obviously have sugar in it but we have chosen a reasonably healthy option)

1 cup small ice nuggets, filled to the top

120ml coffee extracts beans (40 ml skim milk + 80 ml coffee extract)

45ml mocha powder (no sugar added)

7 chocolate coated expresso beans

For the topping

whipped soya cream

  1. Blend all the ingredients together till a whirlpool texture appear and the drink become smooth and thick.
  2. Top with whipped cream

Serve chilled

Vanilla Ice-Blend (360 ml)

It’s a fine chilled blend of vanilla powder with ice nuggets.

1 cup small ice nuggets, filled to the top

120ml coffee extracts beans (40 ml skim milk + 80 ml coffee extract)

45ml Vanilla powder (no sugar added)

  1. Blend all the ingredients together till a whirlpool texture appear and the drink become smooth and thick.
  2. Top with whipped soya cream.

Serve chilled

Non-coffee Ice-Blend

Pure Caramel (360 ml)


(This is the exact formulation of what goes into the mix and you get a rough idea of what you are drinking and how to order, e.g., ask for no sugar added, skim milk. )

It’s a caramelized blend, where no coffee is used.

1 cup small ice nuggets, filled to the top

120 ml skim milk

45 ml vanilla powder (no sugar added)

15 ml caramel sauce

For the topping

whipped soya cream

  1. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Swirl a little caramel sauce in the sides of the plastic cup and pour in the prepared drink.
  3. Top with whipped soya cream.
Serve chilled.
